Appomattox Courthouse - Library of Congress

Out of 100,000 Union troops engaged Union forces suffered approximately 162 casualties.
 
Out of 28,000 Confederate tropps engaged, approximately 500 soldiers were killed or wounded and 27,805 soldiers were captured and paroled.

Appomattox Courthouse was a Union Victory and resulted in the surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia
